As well as being the finest estate in the Valpolicella, Villa Novare also symbolises the oenological research and innovation that are the hallmarks of the entire Verona area. Bertani has always striven to keep this spirit alive on this estate, which is particularly blessed in terms of both agronomy and landscape. Having been at the heart of the development of the Amarone project since the 1950s, it is now the starting point for the great project aimed at re-establishing the quality of Bertani Valpolicella. It is a wine that takes its name from the land, a wine that has been neglected by many people in the Verona area in recent years. For Bertani Villa Novare means vineyards dedicated solely to Valpolicella in all its various forms: Valpolicella Classico with its flavoursome freshness, Ognisanti, the excellence of the cru, Ripasso in a younger version to express the natural flavour of fruit at its best. And lastly, following in the vine growing tradition of the estate, a pure Cabernet Sauvignon cru, Albiòn, the proof that the strength of this terroir goes well beyond the character of the individual grape variety.
