80% Corvina Veronese, 20% Rondinella.

Traditional natural method. Left to dry on arèle (traditional bamboo cane racks): 120 days. Crushing in the first days of January. Fermentation in concrete vats. Ageing for 6-7 years in 60-hl Slavonian oak barrels.

An intense red colour, with garnet nuances. Typical and marked notes of plum, cherry and morello cherry on the nose, followed by a wide variety of tones: nuts, tea leaves, liquorice and spices. On the palate, overtones of red berry fruit, softened by velvety notes of vanilla, in perfect balance with the acidity and tannic notes.
It can be paired with red meat, game and mature cheese, but it is also perfect at the end of a meal and as a “conversation” wine.
Very good seasonal condition, characterized by a fairly dry spring and winter. This caused a reduced crop but excellent levels of ripening. The summer was hot and sunny and the good autumn favoured very healthy grapes with high sugar content.

Intense garnet red with orange nuances. The aroma is ethereal with notes of medlar, tobacco, leather and dry figs. All these scents are intense and in a perfect harmonious succession. These aromas are repeated in the palate with very soft and velvety tannins. Fairly sapidity and long and pleasant finish.
Spring was cold and marked by icy conditions late in the season. A very dry summer followed, leading to a reduced crop but excellent levels of ripening.

Intense garnet red with hues of light orange. The nose is ethereal, spicy, sweet with notes of cacao, medlar, tobacco, and vanilla. The mouth is full-bodied, vigorous, with soft tannins, good acidity a long and pleasant lasting taste.
Little rainfall inferior to the average of the previous years; Temperature in the average of the last years. Harvest of grapes fairly healthy.
October 1984
Garnet red with hues of brick red. A bit close at the nose, there are scents of medlar, dry fruit, plum, tobacco and dry figs. The mouth is warm and wrapped with medlar and almond notes; in comparison to the other vintages it has soft tannins and low acid taste.
Very good vintage with abundant rainfall in spring time. In July and August long period of dryness, only few rain in September. October very nice and dry.
November 1983
This wine has been aged for more than 10 years in bottle and aged 20 years in cask. It has an intense garnet red colour, a very rich bouquet that recalls the dry fruit, above all the hazelnut, the plum, the tobacco, the cacao and the leather. The mouth is spicy with a great lasting. Taste that recalls the truffle and the almond.
A very good vintage for Amarone production: a fairly dry and very hot summer followed a wet spring. Harvest of perfectly healthy grapes.
October 1985
Intense garnet red with a slightly orange rim. Well - defined aroma of dried plum, hazelnut, black truffle, walnut and chocolate. Intense scents that continue to change and to vary.
Good vintage. Spring rainfall in the average. In July and August typical temperature of this period with few rain that allowed a good ripening of the grape. September was dry and October fair.
November 1984
Wine refined in bottle for 20 years. Quite intense garnet red with hues of brick red. At the nose flavours of medlar, dry figs and truffle; it has great complexity and aromatic persistence. The mouth is very mature, with sweet tannins, full and elegant, with clean lasting taste. This wine has clear characteristics of longevity, and it can be drunk also in a lot of years.
Even if with more rain than usual, summer was hot and sunny and it favoured perfect ripening conditions. The grape was harvested healthy and with a good sugary level.
January 1981
Bold garnet red with hues of orange. The nose suggests dried plum, medlar, mineral notes, spices and dried fruit. Full-bodied, elegant and captivating with not too soft tannins that underline its structure. Well-balanced, elegant and destined to have a long future.
Rainfall in the average, some rain in the first decade of September. The month of August was torrid and grapes achieved optimum level of ripening.
February 1982
Intense garnet red with orange-hued rim. A powerful bouquet recalls medlar, almond and plum; good spicy presence and a good long finish in the mouth. The palate is elegant, warm and velvety. Low acidity. This wine has reached a good maturation.
Well balanced vintage either in temperature or in rainfall, whether in the first months of the spring or in the summer ones. The harvest was quite abundant but a good selection of the bunches permitted to obtain a great quality wine.

Well balanced wine with aroma of truffle, dried fruit and subtle notes of chocolate. In the palate is full, almost sweet, structured: this wine could be still growing, it has really high quality level and it is very elegant in the finish.
Well balanced vintage either in temperature or in rainfall, in the average also the summer months. Obtained a very good and abundant product.

Garnet red with hues of brick red. The nose is intense with scents of spicy, dried fruit, almond and smoked meat. The mouth is full, elegant, well balanced, almost sweet, rich in noble tannins. Aroma of medlars.
Rainfall in the average of the earlier years, while we had hotter temperatures in the second decade of July and in the first one of August. In spite of some rains, September had ideal temperature for the ripening of the grapes that was harvested at the beginning of October.

Even if 1975 is not consider a great vintage, this Amarone is very interesting for the flavours of plum, leather, walnut and dried flowers. Gifted with great structure, it seems younger than it really is. In the palate, aromas of plum and medlars, typical of the withering. It has personality, it is spicy with a touch of vanilla and medlar. Fresh with great aromatic consistence.
Vintage characterized by precipitation in the months of September and October. The weather condition from sprouting to ripening was good; low temperature in March and April; in the average the relative dampness and the fog during the withering.
January 1987
Red garnet colour with orange nail. The flavour underlines a certain closure, slowly the flavour of spices and leather surfaces; very evident the tertiary flavours. A powerful wine with a fair acidity, tannins not completely harmonized, lasting taste of ripe plum. Considering all these characteristics it appears younger than it is.
Rainfall in the average of the earlier years, with rainy spring and hot July and August. September had ideal temperatures for the ripening, but the 17th of this month an hail storm damaged all Valpolicella Valley, a bit less the classical area; anyway it has characterized this vintage as a 3 stars one.
January 1987
Even if it is not considered a great vintage, it is a good quality Amarone. Flavours of walnut, dried fruit, plum and leather. The palate is well structured, long finish and with a note of plum.
A vintage characterized by springtime frosts, followed by a cold April and May. July was hot, a bit less August. Little rainfall in September and October. The harvest was good and the quality of the grapes was very good.
January 1988
A very good quality Amarone. The bouquet recalls scents of walnut, dried fruit, especially plum. Full bodied, harmonious, with hints of prune, almond and liquorice. This wine is incredibly young: it will be drinkable for a lot of time.
Very high temperature and precipitation also in the month of September. The crop was quite abundant and a selection of grapes for the production of Amarone and Recioto was necessary. Thanks to this selection we obtained a very good product.
December 1989
Garnet red slightly brick red colour. The nose is of ripe plum, dried fruit and chocolate. The month has a good structure with untied tannins, a clear sign that it has to reach its best yet. Flavours of liquorice, dried fruit, toasted fruit and walnut.
Springtime precipitation were in the average, on the other hand quite high temperature characterized the months of July and August (above all the first decade), less the month of September. Though reduced in quantity, the quality of the harvest was good.

Deep garnet red with an orange rim. The nose is of dried plum, leather and walnut. On the palate, it is a full-bodied, well structured wine, with youthful tannins, well balanced. Elegant, persistent, spicy and with a good structure.
A vintage characterized by average rainfall. August and September were hot months. In general, climatic conditions were favourable to a good ripening of grapes and a quality harvest. The crop was quite abundant and a selection of the grapes was necessary.
May 1991
Deep garnet red colour. It opens with aromas of dried plums, immediately followed by suggestions of leather, liquorice and walnut. The palate is well structured, with sweet tannins, and a long lasting taste. It finishes with liquorice, fruit, especially walnut.
Great vintage for Amarone, the season had a lot of rain only in the first days of August, in the first days of September and half September. Very high temperature in August and in September, the average reached the 25°. On the grapes was noticed a good sugary content and medium acidity.
February 1993
This wine has been for 8 years in oak barrel; the colour, ruby red with garnet nuances, underlines its youth. On the nose, notes of plum, dried fruit and spices followed by light animal flavours as leather. A good structure on the palate, intense and persistent, with a strong tannic note that lets us foresee long life and even a further growth.
An extremely dry year: the month of March was the most rainy, on the other hand in September we had only a rainy day. The temperatures were high during the entire season and the crop was great and abundant.
October 1994
Ruby red in colour, with light garnet nuances. The nose is ripe fruit, in particular cherry and plum with hints of walnut and liquorice. The mouth is full, it has soft tannins with notes of liquorice and almonds in the finish.
A year with a lot of rain during the months of June and July. The seasonal temperatures were average, favouring an excellent completion to the ripening of the grapes.
November 1995
Ruby red colour with a orange rim. Intense nose, with hints of ripe fruit typical of the withered grapes and spicy notes. The palate is warm, intense, velvety and sustained by great acidity.
A season characterized by uncertain erratic weather, with rainfall above all in the month of July (107 mm.) The seasonal temperatures were inferior to the average, nevertheless the harvest is good for Amarone.
October 1996
Intense ruby red with hues of garnet. The nose is intense and persistent, the scent is inviting with a bouquet of dried fruit, especially plum and cherry. The palate sustains its sweet tannins through a good flavour and acidity. The lasting taste is persistence with hints of almond cake and spices. The finish is very elegant.
Vintage characterized by a hot and early spring, with average temperature of over 8°C in March and 13°C in April. Rainy the months of May and June; the summer was hot and dry. The Valpolicella production was so good to consider “great” the Amarone obtained.
June 1997
Deep ruby red with a orange rim. Aroma of jam, cherry, plum and almond. Elegant on the palate, warm, velvety with a pleasant acidity. The lasting taste is long, persistent with spicy notes that let a clean mouth.
Average monthly temperatures were generally lower than in earlier years. A cold spring was followed by a short, warm and dry summer, resulting in delayed ripening (about 3 weeks) of the grapes. Regular harvest with healthy and ripe grapes.
June 1998
Ruby red with a orange rim. The aroma is vigorous, blending hints of ripe and red fruit, spicy notes, liquorice and leather. The mouth is soft and full-bodied with a moderate acidity.
An ideal season for the withering; rains, concentrated in spring period, preceded a fairly dry and hot summer. The grapes of this harvest were healthy and ripe with high sugary content.
September 1999
Intense colour, deep ruby red slightly garnet red. The nose is intense with different scents, with characteristic notes of red berries, as sour cherry, wild cherry and blackberry. At the end, a flavour of the dry fruit as walnuts and nuts, accompanied by vanilla. The mouth is round and intense, with a ground of thick and persistent pulp.
A mild winter with few rainfall was followed by a very hot spring that caused an anticipation of the blossoming. The hot weather in the month of August caused a reduced crop, inferior to the previous year. The hot and sunny summer favoured an exceptional harvest of grapes for drying.
April 2000
Deep ruby red with violet highlights. The nose opens with plum, ripe cherries, chocolate, hay spices and vanilla. The mouth is full; sweet tannins prevail on the palate, which concludes in a sustained, fruit-filled finish.
After a winter with normal temperature and rainfall, the spring was cold and with late frosts, followed by a hot and dry summer, which resulted in low yields but high quality grapes. The harvest was difficult because of a lot of rains.

Deep and thick garnet red. At the nose the typical notes of Amarone, as medlars, cherries and dry plum. Great bouquet, fresh fruits and jam with notes of vanilla and hay. On the palate, aromas of red berry fruits with a long fruit finish and notes of vanilla on a soft and thick structure.
1995 vintage is considered one of the best years from 1990 to 2000. A mild winter preceded an initially warm spring that later turned cold and wet. After a rainy July the summer was dry and hot allowing for uniform ripening of grapes with high sugary content.
November 2001
Red, garnet red with light violet highlights. The nose is intense with notes of dry fruit (cherries, sour cherries, plum) vanilla and spices. On the palate, it is very full-bodied, warm and velvety with sweet tannins and a long lasting taste with a good aromatic persistence. It is an elegant wine, well balanced with an excellent ageing potential.
A very cold winter followed a hot and rainy spring that facilitated budding. The summer was hot and wet, followed by a dry September which led to an excellent harvest.

Deep red with garnet nuances. The flavour is complex, the nose opens with ripe cherries, followed by hints of blackberries, chocolate, spices, hay and vanilla. All these aromas are destined to better in the course of years and to become more distinct and harmonious. Full and soft on the palate with hints of red berries and liquorice and with a long, flavourful, fruit-filled finish.
A very dry spring resulted in low yields. The summer was hot and sunny and this enabled an excellent quality of the grapes, very healthy and with a high sugar content.

Deep red with garnet nuances. The aroma is exceptionally complex, reminiscent of ripe plums, cherry, chocolate, sweet spices, hay and vanilla notes. In the mouth it is pleasantly intense, full and round with sweet tannins that lead into a long fruit-filled finish. It is good to drink now but destined to improve in future.
A rainy spring with normal temperatures. The summer was relatively dry, followed by substantial rainfall in early September, which facilitated ripening of the grapes. The harvest was very good, we had healthy grapes and a good organoleptic balance.

All these perfumes are destined to became more distinct and harmonious in the future. Full and round on the palate with soft tannins that make this wine structured and very persistent.

During the springtime rains and temperatures were in the average. The summer was characterized by quite warm July and August with refreshing rains. The beginning of September stood it out for abundant rainy days, but then warm and dry days followed till the middle of October, allowing the good ripening of grapes. The harvest was perfect with healthy grapes and a good organoleptic balance.

Deep red colour with light garnet nuances. Intense, persuasive on the nose, it immediately strikes for its rich bouquet. It starts revealing blackcurrant jam and fresh notes of blackberries and dry plum, followed by flavours of chocolate, sweet species, tea leaves, liquorice and dried fruits. On the palate, tannins are powerful, but at the same time soft and velvety. Very intense, bold and pleasant with a good balance between acidity and smoothness.

April 2008
Intense dark red, with slightly garnet nuances. Intense and appealing on the nose with rich aromas of red fruits, like blackberry, blueberry and plum, followed by pleasant scents of spices, leaf tea, liquorice, nuts and cocoa. Full, round, with heavy tannins and with a perfect balance between smoothness and acidity, that makes this wine structured and very persistent.
After a winter in the average, spring began with high temperature, outside the normal range. The summer was characterized by higher temperatures and low rainfall. This resulted in a lower yield and an early harvest to maintain a good acidity level.
January 2010
Dark purple red colour. On the nose it is striking for the intensity and the wide range of aromas like ripe red fruit, blackberry, black cherry and black currant accompanied by rich aromas of dry plum, hay, tea leaf, cocoa, and liquorice. Very pleasant on the palate with a good structure and rich in taste. Complex tannins perfectly balanced with acidity. The aftertaste is long, fruity and wipe.
Winter was wet and cold restoring the usual Valpolicella climate conditions. The regular spring enabled a normal blooming allowing a regular production in terms of quantity. There were splendid sunny days and cool nights during vintage time, the ideal combination for the maturation of Corvina grapes that were colourful and healthy.
January 2011
Dark purple red colour. On the nose it is striking for the intensity and the wide range of aromas and very distinct flavors, like notes of plum, cherry and black currant jam, followed by notes of spices, hay, tea leaf, licorice and cocoa. Very pleasant and rich in taste on the palate revealing its structure. Complex tannins, very sweet and perfectly balanced with high acid structure. The aftertaste is long, fruity and wipe.
In 2005 weather conditions were not so different from the average trend of Valpolicella climate during the winter and early spring. From the flowering to the ripening of grapes, weather was good with warm days but not muggy, with insolation and temperatures in the average, spaced by some summer thunderstorms. The beginning of September was characterized by rainy days that did not compromise grapes quality, because sunny and windy days followed. During the months of October and November temperatures and humidity level were below the seasonal average, allowing a very good fading of the grapes.
March 2012
Dark red colour, with ruby-red highlights. Nose surprises for the pleasant fragrances that emanate, starting with cherry, blackcurrant jam and prunes. It goes on with interesting sweet spicy scents among which tea leaves, hay, coffee, liquorice, dried fruits and cocoa stand out. In the mouth it expresses the same sensations felt in the nose, but it beats for the pleasantness and the roundness, even though it keeps a good acidity. The silky tannins perceivable in the mouth, underline the dense texture of this vintage, that is even confirmed by the long and tasty aftertaste.
The season 2006 was characterized by normal rainfall during Spring with a July without rain. The first two decades of the August were characterized by frequent rains of low intensity; the ideal condition for a good maturation of the grapes. The harvest was distinguished by a period of good weather. The grapes were perfectly ripe and in an excellent state of health. A very good autumn and an early winter with low temperatures and few foggy days, allowed a gradual and excellent drying of the grapes.
December 2012
Intense red colour, with ruby red nuances. This Amarone is surprising for the intensity at the nose. The notes of dried fruit and plum, are overpowered by an extremely rich bouquet that highlights intense aromas of berries, fruit compote, liquorice, chocolate, tea leaves underline the complexity and the freshness of this vintage. Full in the mouth with velvety and round tannins, which are enhanced by the sapidity and the vibrant acidity. The 2006 vintage will give great satisfaction both in the short and in the far future.
The 2007 vintage benefited from factors that made it an extraordinary year: The seasonal trend of the 2007 vintage was decidedly unique: average temperatures that were constantly above historic levels, combined with generally lower rainfalls, enabled early budbreak, regular flowering and perfect grape ripening. There were splendid sunny days and cool nights during vintage time, the ideal combination for the aromatic maturation of Corvina grapes.
September 2014
The features of this vintage are balance, complexity and aromatic intensity. The typical richness of flavour and the inevitable elegance are evocative of tradition. It is a particularly rich, mature and deep Amarone also in virtue of the extraordinary climate of the vintage. It has an intense colour with ruby-red highlights. Appealing on the nose, with hints of red fruit, prunes and sweet spices such as cloves and cinnamon. The liquorice, box hedge, thyme and nutty overtones develop later. It is caressing on the palate for the supple and elegant tannins, which add structure to the wine.
