Chiaretto Veneto IGT

In the Chiaretto “revolution”, a historic wine from the Bertani winery makes a great comeback.

Bertarose

Grape varieties and vineyards

Molinara 75%, Merlot 25%.

Production area

The hills of the inland Garda area. Calcareous-clay soils.

Vinification

Separate fermentation for the two varieties: with skin contact for the Molinara and without skin contact for the Merlot.

Ageing

Blending is followed by ageing in stainless steel tanks for about 3 months on the lees from the end of fermentation.

Tasting notes

An assertive Chiaretto, with a full body and good balance between acidity and sapidity. Very lingering. It has a distinctive pink lychee colour.

Food pairings

Perfect as an aperitif, it goes well with salads, delicate pasta dishes and white meat.
