Custoza DOC

Bertani’s Custoza is the result of a perfect combination of different native grapes and expresses the freshness and raciness of this inland Garda area. The varieties that make up this wine alternate in a game of harmony and mutual compensation to give a wine with a delicate, floral and fruity aroma, slightly aromatic, never intrusive.

Custoza

Grape varieties and vineyards

40% Garganega, 40% Trebbiano, 10% Cortese and 10% Malvasia. The vines are Pergola-Veronese trained, with a planting density of 3000 plants/ha, and vertical-trellised with 5000 plants/ha.

Production area

The grapes come from the hilly areas and the foothills bordering Lake Garda, with soils of morainal origin with calcareous clay and calcareous gravel.

Vinification

The harvest starts in mid-September. The grapes are gently crushed and fermentation takes place in steel tanks at a low temperature, from 14° to 16° C.

Ageing

In steel containers, with contact on the lees at the end of fermentation, for about three months, with periodic stirring of the settled lees.

Tasting notes

Colore giallo paglierino con riflessi verdognoli. Al naso, note aromatiche che ricordano i fiori bianchi, note fruttate di mela e pesca e mandorla. Al palato presenta piacevoli sensazioni sapide in buon equilibrio con la fragrante acidità.

Food pairings

Perfetto come aperitivo, si abbina bene alle insalate, alle paste delicate e alle carni bianche.
