Valpolicella Classico
This wine is obtained from carefully hand-picked bunches grown in a vineyard dedicated to exclusively producing this wine.
70% Corvina Veronese (Novare massal selection), 20% Corvinone, 10% Rondinella
From the Tenuta Novare vineyards in the Valpolicella Classica area. Le Miniere vineyard: 4.01 ha Exposure: southwest Calcareous Eocene soils with Scaglia rossa from the upper Cretaceous, with an effective soil depth of about 1 metre, mainly made up of reddish clay.
The vineyard is made up of two terraces located over the Novare underground mines, where iron and manganese (pyrolusite) were mined until the start of the 1900s.
After fermentation, the wine finds balance firstly in concrete vats and then in the bottle. After a year, it is ready to offer up the precise and identifying expression of Valpolicella Classico.
It is the Novare CRU that is able to produce an extraordinarily pleasant Valpolicella with a nose marked by fresh fruit, cherries, fruits of the forest, wild strawberries and complex elegant notes of white pepper typical of the Corvina variety. The wine is sapid and light on the palate, but displays persistence and personality.
