Amarone della Valpolicella Classico

Classification

Harmony

A very good vintage.

Tasting Notes

Roasted meats, smoky, very wild, heady nose. Quite tannic but impressive in its richness, opulence and breadth; big but without excessive weight or density. An imposing style with good accessibility nonetheless. Another 10 years will allow the fruit to soften a little more. Some savouriness on the finish, with lots of sweet red fruits before that point — MW Nick Jackson

A wine that stand out for its salty finish, typical of the Veronese limestone that we encounter in the Valpolicella Classica area.

Style

Harmony

These wines are balanced, classically proportioned, showing grace, equanimity and poise. Usually they show more vibrancy than the gentle wines, but less flamboyance than the exuberant wines. These are closest to the Bertani house style.
