Amarone della Valpolicella Classico

Classification

Exuberance

Early September rainfall helped rather than hindered production of high quality grapes.

Tasting Notes

A huge, dark, port-like nose of intense ripeness with overt tobacco notes: focused and powerful. A huge, ripe, blockbuster style; reminiscent of 2003 Bordeaux. A wonderfully full palate of cedar and dark fruits. Monumental in scope even if not classic Bertani style. Will live forever but is young for now. — MW Nick Jackson
