Amarone della Valpolicella Classico

Classification

Harmony

Higher than usual temperatures and lower than usual rainfall ensured an excellent growing season.

Tasting Notes

Subtle mushroomy, ragù nose. Another fresh and chiselled expression even with the abundant meaty substance and concentrated fruit here. Powerful chalky tannins gracefully packaged. At this stage a little tight and inexpressive but has all the elements. Classically proportioned and constructed to perform well for decades to come. Good concentration without being heavy. — MW Nick Jackson

Style

Harmony

These wines are balanced, classically proportioned, showing grace, equanimity and poise. Usually they show more vibrancy than the gentle wines, but less flamboyance than the exuberant wines. These are closest to the Bertani house style.
