From September 16 to 19, 2024, Bertani opened the doors to its precious viticultural heritage for a new edition of the Amarone Academy. This exclusive experience guided our guests on a journey of discovery through the world of Amarone della Valpolicella Classico—a timeless symbol of Bertani’s style, embodying the history of the region and a dedication to excellence.

The journey began with a welcome dinner, where the refined atmosphere created the perfect setting to introduce guests to the world of Bertani.

The official exploration of our world started the following day in the beautiful setting of the Ognisanti chapel at Tenuta Novare, where the roots of our Amarone della Valpolicella Classico Bertani are firmly planted.

Our guests were introduced to the world of Amarone della Valpolicella Classico through a masterclass and an in-depth tasting session. After a tour of the estate and a visit to the historic drying loft, where the grapes that will become Amarone della Valpolicella Classico Bertani are set to rest, guests enjoyed a relaxing picnic in the vineyard, surrounded by the natural beauty of Valpolicella. It was then time to fully immerse themselves in the harvest experience. Together with our experts, guests witnessed first-hand the care and attention required for each bunch of grapes to create our iconic wine.

On the third day, the journey continued in the morning with further exploration into the world of Italian wine, through two masterclasses that prompted reflection on the history and future of the industry. In the afternoon, guests were welcomed to our historic cellar in Grezzana, among the large casks that hold the secrets of a wine that requires time and patience. The highlight of the day was The Library experience, where we presented our collection of historic vintages of Amarone della Valpolicella Classico Bertani—a true treasure we carefully preserve with dedication. A vertical tasting of historic vintages allowed guests to embark on a journey through time, with each sip telling a unique story.

The day ended with a gala dinner in the new spaces of our winery, where our wines were perfectly paired with signature gourmet dishes, creating an unforgettable sensory experience.

On the final day, participants explored the surrounding region’s wonders, with the opportunity to sail the waters of Lake Garda or discover the historical beauty of Verona. The journey concluded with a lunch, leaving guests with memories of a rich experience filled with emotions, new connections, and a deep bond with our Amarone della Valpolicella Classico Bertani.
